TEAM TACTICS part 1

you guys wanted it says the poll so you got it this post is about team tactics

1. know your team your there strengths weakness. easy way to put it is dont give a guy who sucks with a sniper rifle the sniper spot on your team in a match that matters. i may post a link to a video of my realism unit to show how a well oiled team works but that wont be for a little.

2. move in for a lack of a better word tandem bit spaced out so a single grenade cant kill off half your squad. cover each other if you need to move under fire have your team give some covering fire and like wise give them covering fire.

3. watch grenades friendly fire is a bitch i know alot of games like black ops does not have ff but tact shooters do. if your game has a radar or a mini map that shows team mates check it before you throw a grenade into a room with your teams sniper in it. use your mini map or radar see where team mates die thats where the enemy is

well its late i will post part 2 in the next day or 2

any one with a steam account and dods or css would like to help me with the picture for my lessons it would help alot because google cant give me the right pictures thank you and vote on the poll

Dynamics of cover

in this section i will explain the dynamics of cover. the types of cover how different types of cover can provide different opportunity's and much more so lets begin

what is cover. cover is an object that you can put in between you and your enemy to make it harder or even not possible to hit. good cover as shown down below can make it very to kill you
but the same apply's to the enemy's. as the picture below shows the machine gunner is in very good cove there s only 2 ways to shoot him if the front and in the back. as you can see to his left and right are walls you cant shoot threw so the enemy has only 2 options attack from the front and or the rear for the sake of the lesson right now the enemy will attack from the front.

Photobucket

the machine gunner can see him very easy because he is out on the open with no cover. a easy target. now lets switch prospective for a minuet now you are the person trying to assault the machine gun. the machine gun is in what i would call heavy cover. most of his body is protected
by walls you cant shoot threw making only 3 options for attack a chest shot, a headshot, or a grenade threw the window. option 3 is not a viable because the machine gun will kill you before
you get into grenade range. so you have to ling up a kill shot in a split second or you are dead

before we go on i want you to look at the picture below and try and see what would be good cover

Photobucket

now in this picture i have circled 2 very good spots for cover

Photobucket

not all cover is meant to stop bullets. some is meant to obscure vision as shown below. a smoke grenade can block the vision of a enemy if they cant see you they cant shoot you. smoke cover can also be used to get within weapons range. i personally used smoke grenades with the riot shield to get close in MW2.

Photobucket

smoke is not the only cover meant to obscure vision a favorite of snipers is the bush or tall grass. bushes or tall grass are great for hiding. tip let the enemy run past you and shoot them in the back most games you do more damage if you shoot them in the back. and they cant return fire because there back is to you. word or warning tho make sure there is now a guy following him or you yourself will get shot in the back

Photobucket

always move from cover to cover more time you spend out in the open the more you will get shot

well thats it i will cover cover more in a advance lesson for next posts topic will be how to assault a entrenched enemy in cover hope you enjoyed the post vote in the poll to tell me what you want me to cover and remem

FPS 101 part 3

now for part 3

Rule 5. TEAMWORK TEAMWORK TEAMWORK. it is very important to win a round. from calling out a snipers location to enemy movement to where you are planting the bomb. learn to call out snipers locations when you get sniped. it warns teammates and gives you a chance to out flank and kill him or atleast suppress him so he can get off less shots less shots means less dead teammates witch = better chance of winning. call out enemy movements like 3 guys coming up threw back ally lets your team know and have a chance to ambush them or stop them from capping a flag planting a bomb. your team is the best weapon you have in any game cause with out your team you wont stand a chance.

Rule 6. know how to maneuver. say there's a hot spot(a hot spot is where a big fire fight is taking place) if you think you will die know different routs to get around it or even better know a rout witch will put you at the enemy's rear and then you pretty much have free kills. if you can maneuver well enough you can even get to places that you cant normaly get to and some of tho's spots are perfect ambush spots like ontop of a door or roof.

well this concludes my FPS 101 posts next post will be the dynamics of cover and maybe a intro to sniping and counter sniping hope you enjoyed this lesson

FPS 101 part 2

well i cant sleep so i might as well get this done and its fun to write so lets start

well rule 4 is so big it gets its own post

Rule 4.Know your weapons wand what they can do. its funny when you see a noob running at a sniper with a shotgun from half way across the map. now to prevent this im going to tell you what to do. know the map size first off is it big mid or small. dont want to use a smg on a very big map you are gonna get picked iff b4 you can get in range. if you are on a big map stick to rifles snipers some games can let you pick your loadout some wont depending on the size of the map and the setting you should pick them.

large maps - if its wide and open lots of big open spaces with little cover i would go with a sniper so you can try to pick them off before they can see you. but with this comes a problem what about enemy sniper will cover how to deal with that in a more advance post but for now we will talk basics. when sniping always pick a spot where you have a clear view of a open area and ample cover so they wont see you right away. if the game has kill cams relocate after every kill or two to prevent from getting counter sniped. if you can have a buddy with you to prevent getting rushed and taken out by a guy with a auto cause if you miss your first shot your screwed.

mid range maps - now if the map is a mid range map i would pick a assault rifle you have alot of options with this you can go fully auto if the guy is close you can burst if he is somewhat far away to go auto and if you have good aim you you can headshot him from a distance with one round smgs are also a good choice if the map is urban and has alot of room to room fighting smgs offer a very fast rate of fire but dont do alot of damage most important is grenades they are your best friend in a mid range map because they have range and alot of killing power you can kill half a team if they are clustered together and dont forget most games now you can throw back enemy grenades and you can cook grenades or hold on to them and then throw them right before they explode this can be very helpful said grenade if cooked right will explode in miid air increasing the blast range by a little but the real reason to cook grenades is so the enemy wont have time to run away from the grenade careful if you cook it to long it will explode in your hand now most games have the grenade explode after 5 seconds from when you pull the pin so time it for the range you want it to explode try to aim for it to explode at mid chest level for best effects takes some practice but is easy when you get the hang of it

small or cqc maps - small or cqc (close quarters combat) maps are fast hectic and fun best weapons are smgs grenades and melee weapons the cqc map is where the smg shines you dont have to be spot on with aim and you can kill 3 or 4 guys with one clip if you get lucky always keep on the move dont try and camp a small map you will get a grenade shoved up your arse if you try to
if you think there is more enemy's then you can handle in a room cook a grenade and throw it in
right when it explodes it will atleast hurt them and shell shock them ( shell shock is when something explodes next to you if freezes your screen for a second most FPs's have it now) when the enemy is shell shocked is your chance they cant see you and you can see them perfect chance to shoot the bugger in the head now last but notr least is melee weapons almost all Fps's have them now and they almost always kill in one hit not all do but most do best time to use them is when you are running into a room and you run into a enemy melee if faster way to kill a person then shooting and it does not make that loud a noise but i will cover this more in a advanced post

well this is it for rule 4 hope it helps

FPS 101 part 1

Sorry its been a few days sense my last post work kills me at times. Well lets jump right into this. FPS or First person shooter is a genera of video game where you take the place of usually a soldier spec ops. or something along the lines of that. It is always in first person or like its you who is going threw the events of the game. odds are you have played a FPS befor.
There is alot and i mean alot of Fps's out there but here are some more notable ones. Half Life 1 and 2, all of the Call of duty's, day of defeat, counter strike. At first a online Fps can be very hard and the learning curb can be very high.

Rule 1. know the controls of the game know how to sprint duck jump shoot throw grenades the basics. every one hates the guy who has to ask how do i go prone or how do i plant the bomb. so learn the basics play the single player or if its online only start a server and practice.

Rule 2. know the map. it is very important to know the map and all the spots it can save you alot of anger if you know the map. learn the basic camping and sniping spots know where the choke points are one well placed Machine gun or sniper can pin down a whole team and can let your team win the round. know if there is any world objects that can be used to sway the round n your favor. id there a mortar you can use or a wall you can blow to gain access to the enemy's rear. never underestimate the power of a mortar or a way to hit the enemy's rear.

Rule 3. For the Love of god use cover. i cant put a enough emphasis on this. most Fps's now you cant just run out into the open and start shooting you will die way to fast. move from cover to cover to drastically increase your life span if they cant hit you they cant kill you. but not all cover is good cover some walls objects benches can be shot threw they will help a little bit
but you can still get killed. not all cover can protect you some is meant to hide you.

this is it for now i might put out part 2 tomorrow depends on what time i get up
